It starts from the tourist port of Santa Maria di Leuca to reach the most fascinating caves of the Adriatic side, skirting Punta Meliso which houses the Basilica Santa Maria de Finibus Terrae, the Leuca lighthouse and the Monumental Staircase.
After a brief stop in Grotta Cazzafri, we continue towards Grotta Terradico, delle Verduselle, Grotta del Soffio and Grotta della Vora.

To be able to admire the beauty of these inlets up close, we will make a short stop for a swim under the cliff and enter the caves.
At this point the route is reversed to reach the Ionian side, crossing the marina of Leuca enclosed between Punta Meliso and Punta Ristola, the southernmost land in Puglia.
The first cave encountered on the western side, close to Punta Ristola is the Porcinara Cave, immediately followed by the Devil’s Cave. The excursion continues with the Grotta del Fiume, the Grotta delle Tre Porte, the Grotta dei Giganti, Grotta della Stalla and the majestic Grotta del Drago. Also for the Ionian side there is a stop to immerse yourself in the discovery of the most evocative views that have inspired myths and legends.
After the stop, La Barca del Porto starts again towards the pier, crossing the bay with its spectacular nineteenth-century villas and the so-called “bagnarole”, masonry dressing rooms that guaranteed privacy to the ladies during their baths in the sea.
